Normally, I don’t post on a Monday. However, I have good news to share and I couldn’t hang onto until the next post! For my readers who love writing, or those who might be expanding their platforms, need publishing credits, and/or have been wanting to be in a book, but maybe aren’t quite ready to write a whole book. My good friend Emily at the Ohio Writers’ Association have an upcoming publishing opportunity and I wanted to share it with you as soon as possible. It is free to submit for consideration in our upcoming anthology of short fiction. Here’s Emily’s plug:
“The theme is “outcasts,” which is open for interpretation. We are looking for stories that explore our connections and what happens when we lose those connections. We are seeking stories between 1,000 and 10,000 words. You must qualify as an Ohio writer to submit, but you don’t have to be living in Ohio to qualify. We consider you an Ohio writer if:
- You were born in Ohio
- You graduated in Ohio from high school, college, university, etc.
- You currently reside in Ohio
- You are currently actively enrolled at a school in Ohio
- Your current permanent address is in Ohio
- You lived 5+ continuous years as a permanent resident in Ohio at any time
Submissions open March 1, 2021 and close March 31, 2021. If you have questions or you would like more information, please contact Emily Jones, Publishing Coordinator, at [email protected].
Thank you, and good luck!”
Remember sharing is caring if you know someone who might be interested. Shavua tov, have a great week and we’ll see you next Tuesday!
